History
The Society named Centre for Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE) was established on 2nd May, 2000, with a commitment to promote quality technical education. The School of Engineering & Emerging Technologies (SEET) was established at Baddi in 2002. BUEST was established under Act No. 21 of 2009 of the Himachal Pradesh Government and is approved by the UGC under sections 22 and 2F of the UGC Act 1956.
Academics
The School of Engineering & Emerging Technologies offers a B Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with specializations in AI/ML, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Software Engineering. The university's mission includes imparting high quality education to pharmacy students and creating world-class leadership in pharmaceutical education, research and innovation. The IDEA Factory, inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Kalam, offers labs and workshops for each stage of product development. BETIYON KI BARI is a scholarship scheme for girl students of Himachal Pradesh.
Campus & Facilities
The residential campus is spread over 40 acres in the Shivalik Hills at Baddi in Solan district. Separate hostels for boys and girls with basic amenities are available, along with a hostel mess, a shopping complex in the senior boys' hostel, and university transport for students and staff. Laboratories have state-of-the-art equipment, including advanced research instrumentation such as HPLC, FTIR, and UV-Visible Spectrophotometers, and there is a CPCSEA-approved Animal House Facility.
Admissions
Admission routes include the Baddi Merit Examination for professional courses, merit in the qualifying examination for non-professional courses, and a Scholarship Test. B Tech admission is available via JEE Mains score and B Tech Lateral Entry.
