ACC offers associate degrees and certificates in more than 100 fields of study, along with career and technical training, adult education, GED programs, and continuing education. The college has expanded to include four bachelor's degree programs: Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-to-BSN, started Fall 2018), Software Development, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, and Cybersecurity (added Fall 2023). Most students complete core curriculum at ACC before transferring to four-year institutions, taking advantage of significantly lower tuition costs. The college maintains an honors program for highly motivated students and facilitates transfer agreements with universities across Texas.
ACC operates 11 active campuses and multiple centers across Central Texas: Rio Grande (opened 1975), Riverside (1984), Northridge (1989), Cypress Creek (1991), Eastview (1999), South Austin (2006), Round Rock (2010), Elgin (2013), Highland (2013, on the site of former Highland Mall), Hays (2014), and San Gabriel (2018). The district also maintains a Service Center and Highland Business Center. Administrative offices are located in north-central Austin. The college provides distance learning options and ACC Online for flexible enrollment.
ACC offers multiple enrollment pathways including regular admission, transfer programs, dual credit for high school students, and English language programs. The college provides comprehensive student support services including academic coaching, advising, career services, free tutoring, mental health counseling, and student accessibility services. ACC Free Tuition is available to recent high school graduates and Texas GED completers. The college emphasizes affordability with stable tuition and payment plans, plus scholarships and a student emergency fund.
