Agricultural College

Agricultural College is a public institution in Bapatla, established in 1945. Agricultural College, Bapatla is the oldest of the eight constituent colleges of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), established in 1945 by the Government of the Composite Madras State. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in agriculture, horticulture, plant breeding, and allied disciplines. It is notable for developing rice variety BPT 5204 (Samba Mahsuri), which became widely cultivated across South India.
