Pioneering Oriental medicine education in Florida, now closed as of September 2024.
Acupuncture and Massage College offered a Master's degree in Oriental medicine accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and approved by the State of Florida Board of Acupuncture. The program provided education and clinical training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and bodywork therapy. The college also awarded professional certification in Massage Therapy, approved by the State of Florida Board of Massage Therapy. The institution was nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
The college was founded in 1983 as the Acupressure-Acupuncture Institute and was the first acupuncture school in Florida. In 2000, it received program accreditation from ACAOM and was renamed the Southeast Institute of Oriental Medicine (SEIOM). In 2003, SEIOM was granted college status and renamed Acupuncture and Massage College. The institution ceased operations on September 2, 2024.
