Since its beginning, the college has used the Integrated Learning System, a self-directed, multisensory learning experience, as its primary delivery method. Students can learn at their own pace within flexible guidelines, and each lesson has a defined objective and can be repeated before moving on. Students do not need prior computer or special skills, and training starts at their level. Trained facilitators provide one-on-one instruction and monitoring support and are available on site at all times.
The college has more than 40 campuses across Canada, from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island. In Edmonton, it has campuses at Edmonton Downtown, Edmonton South and Edmonton West. Free parking is available at the Edmonton West campus, and the Edmonton Downtown campus offers street parking, nearby lots and LRT access.
Applicants can enrol through an online form, with continuous enrolment. Routes include Grade 12 graduate admission for Diploma or Advanced Certificate programs, and a Mature Student or no-Grade-12 route via an Entrance Examination. Separate routes exist for Technical Diploma, Advanced Certificate and Medical Training applicants. Students can start right away.
The college states that its graduates have helped students complete over one million courses and start new careers in fields such as healthcare, business, and technology.
