Academy of Learning College is an Ottawa-based career college offering diploma and certificate programs for adult learners across Canada.
Academy of Learning College started in 1987 to help adults learn the business and computer skills they need for a better life. The college's vision is to give students great education that works and the tools to find a career they love. Its mission is to offer learning that truly makes a difference in students' lives. Its values include integrity, which means it promises to be honest and fair.
The college offers diploma and certificate programs with online and on-campus learning options. Many programs are designed to be completed in 5–12 months, with practical training focused on career-ready skills. Diploma and certificate programs are designed to meet applicable provincial requirements. Programs are offered in Education, Healthcare, Community, and Technology for adult learners. Students study at their own pace, and trained learning coaches provide personalized support.
The college has more than 40 campuses across Canada, from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island. Its Ottawa locations include Ottawa Downtown and Ottawa West. The college uses the Integrated Learning System, which it says is only found at its schools in Canada, and this system has helped graduates complete over one million training courses. The Ottawa Downtown campus is at Unit 401, 1400 St. Laurent Boulevard, with transit access at the St. Laurent tram stop.
Admission routes include Grade 12 graduate admission for Diploma or Advanced Certificate programs and a Mature Student or no-Grade-12 option via an Entrance Examination. Admission is also available for Technical Diplomas, Advanced Certificates, and Medical Training courses. The college uses continuous enrolment as its general admissions process.
