Academy of Learning Career and Business College is a private, for-profit institution registered as a career college under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005. The college is located at 401 Bay Street, Unit 1000, Toronto, ON M5H 2Y4. Its stated mission is to improve the lives of under-served students and the communities in which they live.
The college was founded as a franchise system in 1987. The campus originally specialized in computer and business skills training for adult learners, based on the Integrated Learning System (ILS).
Training is built on an exclusive Integrated Learning System, which allows students to learn at their own pace within flexible guidelines. Each lesson has a clearly defined objective and tests understanding of the content. Course enrolment is continuous, so students can begin training immediately. Programs are offered in Law, Business, Accounting, Health Care, IT, and International categories, and the Accounting and Payroll Administrator program runs 36 weeks.
The Integrated Learning System is supported by an on-site qualified Campus Facilitator. Trained facilitators are available on site at all times to provide one-on-one instruction and monitoring support.
Domestic applicants may be admitted with a Canadian High School Diploma or as mature students, the latter requiring an admissions interview. The college also has an admission route for international students.
